In 2024,

We remain primarily a Horse Sanctuary and Learning Center.

We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization, as Horse Help Providers, Inc. (DoubleHP).

We have been "in business" for about 22 years!

Eleven of our rescued horses live here, at New Hope Horse Shelter, 3 miles north of Crooks, SD.  Most of these horses were rescued from severe starvation, in cases where Law Enforcement requested our assistance.

While we have adopted out many rescued horses over the years, the eleven rescued horses who live here have been promised a forever home here. Most of them were either returned to us after a failed adoption, or were not very adoptable to begin with (injury, lameness, other health issue, trust / behavior issues).

Some of these rescued / sanctuary horses have, over time, become great riding horses and assist us in our horsemanship program!
